About this role

Your team

The Core Compliance team establishes and oversees Compliance requirements for employee-related activities and evaluates adherence to these requirements to avoid perceived or actual conflicts. Scope of oversight includes personal trading, gifts and entertainment, outside activities, private investments, and activities through advising employees on requirements; and monitoring employee adherence and applying restrictions as needed.

  • Actively participating in business decisions to champion our clients' interests and assist the business to translate Compliance into their daily work
  • Have client interests at the center of everything we do
  • Help in building a strong compliance culture within BlackRock
  • Developing and encouraging excellence within the Compliance team.


Your responsibilities
  • Provide advisory to employees on policy and procedural matters relating to personal trading, outside activities and any other personal conflict of interest related policy.
  • Ability to assess risk by following the policies and procedures.
  • Perform Global core compliance tasks relating to review of employee outside activities, supervising of outside activities, preclearance approval, and other process related to personal trading and other Core Compliance policies.
  • Ability to think beyond the process to question the status quo and bring efficiency in the process and improve the same in long run.
  • Maintain accurate and current desktop procedures!
  • Participate in global and/or regional compliance initiatives to ensure global best practice and consistency.
  • Actively contribute to projects and initiatives involving by the Manager
  • Access the Core Compliance Processes and look for opportunities to automate manual processes by use of technology tools.


You have
  • Post graduate degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial industry
  • Experience in asset management or investment banking environment.
  • Employee Compliance and personal trading experience will be an added advantage
  • Prior experience of reporting, handling big excel data and macros is preferred
  • Focused attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products (with an emphasis on Excel) or other programming languages and the skills for learning new applications
  • High level of self-motivation with ability to own and drive multiple projects at once
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Data Analytics skills preferred; coding knowledge (VBA,SQL, PYTHON, RPA) will be a plus ..
  • Ability to work across multiple functions, geographies and partners with respect and judgement
