The Marketing team at BlackRock is a dynamic, global function that plays a critical role in helping drive many of the firm's most urgent cross-functional initiatives. Together with our partners (both internal and external), we create the conditions that maximize business outcomes for the firm.

We specialize in a diverse range of functions to provide robust campaigns, advertising, communications, training, investment & educational material, and events, all supported by global centers of excellence spanning content strategy, creative, research & analytics, and digital platforms & experiences.

Your role and impact:

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Research, Analytics, & Data team at the Vice President level. In this role, you will act as the product owner of the marketing database, which is a key system underpinning the BlackRock marketing technology stack. This role sits within the team responsible for managing BlackRock's marketing data and infrastructure.

You will join a cross-functional and global team of data scientists, engineers, and researchers focused on discovering unique client and commercial insights - across products and business units - and driving global marketing, business, and product strategy.

Your responsibilities:
  • Act as the marketing database platform owner, and oversee development of the database, internal and 3rd party data integrations.
  • Manage and prioritize the development backlog queue and create the future product roadmap.
  • Develop data governance structures and processes for the platform to resolve/ address data quality issues
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop requirements for feature requests and bug fixes.
  • Assist with issue troubleshooting, testing and data exploration to validate issues and develop solutions.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the firm to educate and inform on progress and planning.


You have...
  • 5+ years in a Business Analyst role.
  • Flawless written and verbal communication and ability to gain buy-in from a non-technical audience.
  • Familiarity with application programming, database design, and data integrations
  • Experience working with a broad set of stakeholders, including engineers, non-technical users, and senior leaders.
  • Experience with SQL required, and must have the desire to gain an in-depth understanding of SQL.
