JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Offered -Designation - Senior Manager - Product Development

Department - Product

Location - Mumbai

Sub- Department - Product

Position Reports to - Head, Product

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced professional who shall play a crucial role in the ongoing and proactive development of new product initiatives both on the active and passive side and at the same time work towards realigning and repositioning of existing funds in line with the industry trends. Be a source of technical product expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Responsible to manage development of new products: identifying new product opportunities in domestic market and launching new products complying with the regulatory guidelines
  • Developing and maintaining a broad knowledge and awareness of the investment industry, intermediary channel forces, competition, and trends that may impact companies MF success in the market along with the Head of Product
  • Supporting Sales by developing presentations, sales pitch, research and commentary about the funds, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and index construction methodology
  • Preparing dashboards/Presentations for Sales team on MF Products and MF industry trends
  • Provide in depth competitive product analysis and procatively identifying the opportunities in both, debt and equity to position/launch products to suit the customer needs
  • Responsible for all domestic and international Due Diligence reports and marketing collaterals and conducting product performance benchmarking
  • Defining Product learning modules for sales and other teams
  • Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Presenting findings to investment committees, client portfolio managers, due diligence analysts, and financial advisors via face-to-face meetings or conference calls

 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Educational Qualification

  • Mandatory NISM certification
  • Preferable: MBA/CFA/CA

Technical & Professional Knowledge required (What someone NEEDS TO KNOW)

  • Product knowledge.
  • Market knowledge / extensively networked

Experience Required (What someone NEEDS TO HAVE DONE)

  • 5-8 years Asset Mangement Industry in the Product Development Role
  • Exposure to M.F industry will be added advantage
