Investment Associate - Real Estate

About Us

We are an established real estate developer and investor, looking to hire an Investment Associate, working remotely, to support our London-based team. You will be part of an entrepreneurial team, where you have a high level of involvement in all aspects of the investment process, reporting directly to the company’s Directors. The team invests across commercial and residential real estate.

What the job involves

Financial modelling, appraisal and underwriting of acquisitions, disposals and developments

Appraisal of complex capital structures, including senior debt, mezzanine debt, forward funding, equity promote structures and multiple refinancing

Leading the preparation and presentation of investment memos and opportunities to the investment committee as well as lenders and investment partners

Financial analysis to support strategic planning and the development of new business or investments

Who we are looking for

You will have prior experience of Real Estate

Advanced financial modelling skills and understanding of corporate finance concepts (IRR, NPV, leveraged cash flow)

A detailed knowledge of real estate finance structures is essential

Some previous work experience in either corporate finance, transaction services or investment banking is preferred

Solid report writing experience (PPT and Word memos)

Ideally experience of producing investment memos for sanction (debt or equity)

Comfortable with PowerPoint

Strongly academic qualifications will be an advantage (eg in maths, economics, finance, real estate, accountancy, RICS, CFA, MBA)

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

This is a remote working role with working hours in line with out London office at GMT 7am to 7pm
