About this role

Team Overview

This team is part of the Global Loans & Alternatives Services (GLAS) team within Business Operations. GLAS is responsible for settlements and documentation globally and strives for outstanding client service. The team coordinates, initiates and builds processes for new/non-standard transactions. In addition, the team provides relationship management and participates in external market initiatives. The candidate will require the skills to partner with Business partners across our platform which include Corporate Tax, Legal, Trading, Risk and Portfolio Compliance to facilitate private investment trades through their lifecycle.

Role Responsibility

• Demonstrate the ability to obtain product and functional knowledge of the loan and private markets to communicate with the business, trading counterparties and large/sensitive clients effectively.
• Understanding the intricacies of the syndicated loan market and documentation driven transactions.
• Support the settlement process of loan syndications, secondary loan trades, CLO's, restructures, privates, infrastructure debt, renewable power, direct lending and trade claims including funding and documentation matters.
• Become a proficient user of vendor systems including, but not limited to, Wall Street Office, Clear Par, Geneva.
• Maintain a proven understanding of all relevant portfolios and deal related documentation to ensure controls are in place and that guidelines are adhered to.
• Collaborate closely with Administrative Agents, Borrowers and Legal regarding KYC documentation, including administrative details, tax and fund formation documents.
• Develop an understanding of the maintenance and distribution of loan documentation inclusive of private and public amendments/ restructures and voting requirements with settled and trade date positions.

Client Service and Communication Skills:

• Liaison for local custodians, borrowers and businesses to address timing challenges between EMEA and the US on confirmations, settlements, and funding.
• Investigate and resolve closing and transactional issues and communicate all issues timely.
• Participate in the review of the daily/weekly reports and metrics provided to management and the business to highlight status of trades and risks.
• Participate in pivotal initiatives

Experience:

• Proficient in the financial industry in particular Fixed Income, Equity, Privates and Loan Instruments
• 1-4 years experience in asset management/fund industry including the loan syndicated market
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Strong performer in a high pace environment with high volume and high risk transactions with a low tolerance for error.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment and proactively assume additional responsibilities.
