DataOps Engineering (DOE)

The DataOps Engineering builds and maintains a groundbreaking data platform that provides quality data to all users of the Aladdin platform, including investors, operations staff, data scientists, Aladdin applications and engineers. Our goal is to provide highly available, consistent data of the highest quality to our clients, while evolving our platform to deliver exponential scale to the firm and powering the future growth of Aladdin. We engineer high performance data pipelines, provide a fabric to discover and consume data and continually evolve our data storage capabilities.
Process Architecture
Process Architecture team within DataOps Engineering is responsible for architecting Aladdin data processing workflows and providing automation recommendation and optimization techniques, including dependency and configuration management and scalable delivery. The team builds predictive analytics, and reporting to enable production monitoring and the drive towards continuous process improvement.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
  • Crafts and designs process workflows to build utility grade production using lean process architecture methodology
  • Connects and integrates data, configuration, systems and operations dependencies to optimize the end-to-end pipeline
  • Owns the facilitation of process solutions with partners teams, collaborating with business leads, domain specialists and system engineers
  • Prioritizes and delivers results-oriented, more efficient, and effective processes using business intelligence to measure impact of changes.
  • Analyzes business processes to help understand and handle the current environment, controls, identify gaps, duplications, overlaps and redundancies and recommends solutions for improvement.
  • Performs process mapping and documentation of workflows.
  • Collaborates with vendors to bring efficient and leading-edge platforms to improve data supply chain processes
  • Trains and guides partners and staff in process and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Provide Level 2&3 production support for all aspects of the platform that the team are responsible for existing processes and new business opportunities
  • Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision in a team environment
Role Essentials:
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Finance / Engineering.
  • 5-9 years of solid experience in a similar process design and architecture role
  • Knowledge in relational database development and at least one NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Splunk) to enable data analytics would be preferable.
  • Experience with Flowchart Softwares (Draw.IO, Visio, Lucidchart, Griffy or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of software development standard methodologies and basic understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology and practices.
  • Passion and ability to work in a team-environment, multi-tasking, teamwork and effective presentation skills are a must.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to build highly available, performant systems with a "Student of Markets and Technology" demeanor.
