Business Unit Overview:

The BlackRock FP&A team is aligned to the firm's overall organizational structure in order to appropriately engage with each business unit to deliver key financial management activities. The FP&A mission is enabling the firm to achieve its strategic and business goals from a financial perspective. Specifically, FP&A is responsible for driving:

Effective Business Planning - providing relevant and timely financial intelligence to business partners across the firm through a standardized and consistent set of performance metrics linked with common decision support tools, business standards, language, and rules.

Strategic Resource Allocation - helping to link operations and financial performance, tightly managing performance against strategic goals, and enabling execution of business strategies.

Management of Business Performance - developing and communicating business strategies by curating the definition and measurement of metrics for success.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing and supporting activities of Regional/Client Business FP&A Teams in India, which include Management and Business Reporting, Data analytics, Budgeting, Forecasting, Adhocs & Project Support.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a high performing team of 4/5 analysts/associates
• Driving business analytics within the team and partnership with senior stakeholders in deriving business insights
• Provide thought leadership to the team to help accomplish FP&A and business objectives
• Ability to influence decision making for the team and for driving initiatives in the India team/function
• Identify opportunities to drive standardization and automation to generate efficiency
• Represent FP&A at functional, platform and business level forums
• Lead the team to provide both management and functional oversight to ensure timely and accurate BAU delivery
• Leverage business knowledge to influence stakeholders and generate solutions
• Hands-on with creating existing/new management reports (Financials covering flows, revenue, expenses etc.), including partnering on budgeting/forecasting and sharing financial results with global FP&A/businesses teams
• Build strong governance around the processes
• Show desire to work in a constantly evolving, changing, and challenging environment
• Drive the BlackRock principles

Skills and Qualifications:

• MBA or CA with 10+ years of experience in FP&A, Variance Analysis, Stakeholder Management, MIS Reporting, Project Management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in preparation and review of flash report / dashboards and management review packs
• Experience of working on advanced Excel and Powerpoint required
• Knowledge of streamlining/visualization tools like python, VBA, SQL, MS Access or Tableau will be an added advantage
• Experience with TM1, Hyperion, Essbase or similar multi-dimensional analytical tools
• Proven ability to constantly evaluate systems, processes, and procedures for inefficiencies, making recommendations for improvement
• Work and deliver under general guidance or minimal supervision
• Ability to handle large data and derive meaningful information
• Analytical bent of mind combined with financial acumen. Well-versed with Finance terminologies
• Ability to quickly understand and connect business drivers
• Ability to build relationship with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment (not only FP&A team but also across Finance)
• 'Can-do' attitude - willing to contribute at all levels in a small but high performing team environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
