The Finance organization is making increased use of big data technology, and we are enabling a single big data platform for Finance (F1). Our combined Risk & Finance IT and Finance Change teams are establishing a platform based operating model that will ensure change programs utilise the platform to deliver business outcomes in a consistent, sustainable and controlled way.

The candidate should have both a strong theoretical understanding and extensive practical experience in the areas mentioned, and should be able to demonstrate that expertise with concrete examples.

  • Work as a Business Analyst (approx 80%)/ Project Manager (approx 20%) within the program, reporting into the F1 Common Services Lead.
  • Extensive interactions with the Business to understand the target business process, mapping the business process to the F1 functional capabilities and delivering to the various finance programs.
  • Coordinate with the business to understand current pain-points, and assist with root cause analysis on data quality issues to provide strategic solutions.

  • A University graduate with good honors degree in Finance, Mathematics. Additional accreditations like CFA, CPA, FRM preferred.
  • 10-15 years of Banking & Financial services experience with strong business & functional knowledge covering Investment and Private Banking financial products and how a bank's finance function operates.
  • Understanding of the Bank's front to back data architecture and operating model at the enterprise wide level, and in the context of the finance function
  • Knowledge of business control frameworks including how data flows front to back through the bank's architecture
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and global environment, delivering products within specific timescales and working alongside multiple senior business partners and lead discussions for appropriate closure on open issues
  • Strong communication skills and ability to relate to different levels of audience e.g. senior managers, IT, other partners
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure as they relate to finance business processes
  • Outstanding business, functional, data and organisational skills with a proven ability to priorities tasks for oneself and others, and work under pressured timelines.
  • Proven track record of program delivery of change across both business and technology architecture, ideally with an understanding of big data technology
  • Change Management project experience preferred
  • Proficient in SQL queries (Intermediate level)
  • Proficient with MS Office applications - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of a project lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Waterfall / AGILE / Scrum project methodology
  • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking and can work on own initiative whilst also working under pressure to deliver on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
