Job Description The individual will lead projects and work closely with management to ensure all processes are implemented efficiently and effective controls are in place to ensure accurate, timely deliveries. Team Lead should be able to guide and mentor the junior members on the team. He/she will have a significant input to the ratings and research process by analysing financial statements and data provided by Issuers.

  • Use accounting & finance knowledge to perform financial statement analysis, adjust reported data on Debts, Deposits, and Assets as per relevant methodology of banking entities.
  • In depth analysis on various types of debts being issues by the bank, for ex: senior notes, subordinated loans, convertible debts, etc.
  • Regulatory or methodological adjustments on type of deposits based on country domiciled of the bank.
  • Work directly with ratings and support analysts to explain the data, adjustments and other information needed by the rating team for ratings and research.
  • Regularly interact with Moody's ratings analysts regarding financial and operational data needed for analysis and publications.
  • In addition to regular daily responsibilities, Team Lead will have the opportunity to work on new projects such as technology projects, analytic reviews, methodology updates and implementation of process improvements.
  • Act as a mentor for more junior members of the team, be open and approachable to FDAs, lead trainings, review work product and provide feedback to junior members of the team on Accuracy and Timeliness.
  • Ensure communication to and buy-in from direct manager of strategy for work distribution and any risks to deadlines (proactively)
Support direct manager in making the best decisions for workload allocation, project direction and tactical process solutions

Qualifications
  • Post graduate degree in Finance, or Economics required; additional qualification of CFA, FRM is a plus
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience required, minimum 2 years work experience in leading teams or managing process.
  • Knowledge or prior experience on calculating/analysing Loss Given Defaults, Exposure at defaults, Basel II for International banks is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and particularly Excel, such as pivot tables, lookups, etc.
  • Individual must be organized, dependable, able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative, and have the ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Candidate must have the ability to quickly transition as priorities change to meet demands.
